Arsenal versus Chelsea kicks off the weekend’s Barclays Women’s Super League action, while Sunderland and Newcastle United meet in the Championship for the first time.

The Gunners and the Blues clash at the Emirates early on Saturday afternoon, with both sides having the chance to go top. They approach the game following mixed midweek results in Europe, Arsenal having gone down 5-2 to Bayern Munich despite being ahead and Chelsea eventually seeing of Real Madrid 3-2.

Conquerors of Champions League holders Barcelona, Manchester City get back to domestic action at Anfield in Sunday’s 3pm kick-off.

Manchester United look for a third win from three when hosting Tottenham, Crystal Palace go up against a Brighton team currently third in the table.

The bottom four all have a single point each and play among themselves, as Aston Villa meet Leicester and Everton entertain West Ham.

Birmingham City will start the weekend top of the Barclays Women’s Championship, should they win Friday’s fixture at Sheffield United who have suffered five straight defeats.

Sunday brings three derbies, as third-placed London City take on current leaders Charlton, Portsmouth attempt to get off the mark against Southampton at Fratton Park and Sunderland face Newcastle at the Stadium of Light.

Bristol City versus Blackburn at Ashton Gate is Sunday’s other Championship match.
