Birmingham City Women sign Shannon Cooke on loan | OneFootball

Birmingham City have signed former England youth international defender Shannon Cooke on loan from West Ham United.

She has made 37 appearances for the Hammers, whom she joined in January 2023 after four-and-a-half years with Louisiana State University Tigers.

Cooke spent her youth career with Arsenal and went on to make a couple of first team appearances for the Gunners.

Speaking to BluesTV, Cooke said; “After having a talk with Amy [Merricks] and the staff and players, I think the ambition is really exciting.

“I think it’s clear to see all of the work that’s going into the club to help them progress and be successful and I’m really excited to be a part of that.”
