Yann Bisseck is already thinking ahead to the Coppa Italia derby in the semi-final between AC Milan and Inter.

As a reminder, Milan booked their spot in the semis by beating Roma 3-1 at the beginning of the month. Tammy Abraham netted twice against his parent club and then Santiago Gimenez set up fellow debutant Joao Felix for the third goal.

The Rossoneri knew that a derby could well be on the cards just as it was potentially for Roma too, given that Inter vs. Lazio was the other quarter-final on that side of the bracket and thus the winner would play Milan.

The Nerazzurri were the ones who eventually prevailed 2-0 last night, with Marko Arnautovic and Hakan Calhanoglu getting the goals. Revenge will be on their mind, given they have lost two of three derbies this season.

Bisseck spoke in the press conference room at San Siro after Inter’s victory over Lazio in the quarter-finals last night, and he was asked about facing Milan in the next round.

“Now let’s think about the present and not go beyond that, we need to focus on the next matches. We are not thinking about the Coppa Italia derby against Milan, but we clearly want to win it. I don’t think Milan are stronger than us,” he said (via MilanPress).

The dates for the two legs are not set in stone yet but it is likely the first game (with Milan the home team) will be in early April, with the return three weeks later.
