Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund expects winger Jamie Gittens to leave the club in the summer, with several big clubs interested.
Despite his recent poor form, Dortmund have accepted that Gittens will likely leave the club at the end of the season, Die Schwarzgelben will also be in a poor negotiating position with the winger’s future club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League or Europa League and will be forced to sell him.
Dormtund had originally hoped to sell Gittens for €100m but that price tag is now considered unrealistic.
Where the 20-year-old goes is yet to be seen. The Premier League is said to be Gittens’ dream destination but there are no offers from England yet with previous interest from Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea. While Bayern Munich are also interested in the winger and are hoping that the price for Gittens will drop to €60-70m if Dortmund fail to qualify for Europe.
This season, Gittens has 11 goals and three assists in 36 appearances, but after a fast start to the season, he has now gone 11 games without a goal or assist.
