Romelle Donovan has joined Brentford B for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, subject to EFL, FA and Premier League approval.

He will head straight to Portugal to link up with Neil MacFarlane’s side for the Atlantic Cup.

The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for Birmingham City in October 2023 as a second-half substitute against Hull City in the Championship.

He went on to make a further six appearances for the Blues that season, before a loan move to Burton Albion at the start of 2024/25. He played nine games for the Brewers before being recalled.

The exciting attacker marked his England Under-18s debut with a goal in a 4–2 victory over Northern Ireland at St George's Park. In September 2024, he earned his first call-up to the England Under-19s squad and grabbed an assist on his debut against Italy.

Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane said: "We look forward to working with Romelle in the months that remain of this season. We have a lot of exciting games to be played between now and the end of the season; Romelle will definitely add to our attacking options within the group.

"He is a player who has really good technical abilities aligned to our attacking style of play and he comes into a team that has been performing so well this season. We believe he can add goals and assists to further enhance the current group."
