Max Wilcox is back out on the grass following an injury which has seen him sidelined for almost a year, the midfielder eyeing minutes for Brentford B after the festive period.

Ahead of the Christmas and New Year break, Wilcox was the latest young Bee to feature in the Brentford Buzz series.

What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

I’d have to say being with my family - that’s what it’s all about, being surrounded by your close ones.

What is your favourite Christmas food?

Easy, turkey.

What is your best-ever present?

Probably my first pair of football boots, they were Nike Mercurials and I remember being buzzing about them.

What is the best ever gift you have given someone?

I’d have to say a nice handbag that I got my girlfriend one year.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

I’d have to go with Last Christmas.

What’s your favourite thing about Boxing Day football?

Definitely just the amount of games on - it’s great to watch every team as there is loads of games on over the festive period!
