Brentford reject loan offer from Strasbourg for Fabio Carvalho | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Brentford have rejected a loan offer for Fabio Carvalho (22) from Strasbourg. The Portuguese attacking midfielder has several admirers among those associated with the owners of the Racing club – BlueCo.

Liam Rosenior is a big fan of the player. The English head coach is familiar with the former Liverpool attacking midfielder, having coached the 22-year-old while he was on loan at Hull City during the 2023/24 season. Rosenior is keen to reunite with the Fulham academy graduate.

Brentford have rejected an initial proposal for Carvalho. However, Strasbourg are expected to return with another offer for the attacking midfielder before the end of the winter transfer window. The former RB Leipzig loanee was an unused substitute this weekend for the Premier League club as they narrowly defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 on Sunday afternoon. It remains to be seen if Carvalho would be interested in a move to France.
