Brendan Rodgers side have played eight competitive games this season. They have negotiated every single one of those games both domestically and their opener against Slovakian champions Slovan Bratislava.
Along the way, Celtic have scored 28 times across those eight fixtures and conceding only the four times. Kasper Schmeichel is yet to concede a goal in the league.
McGregor has recognised that the bulk of the work the side mounted up in training with establishing a distinct style and pattern has been one of the key’s to the outstanding start.

Speaking to The Celtic Star at yesterday’s media conference at Celtic Park the Celtic captain had this to say about the way the season has started.
“I think a real good building block from the work that we did last year, and probably didn’t get the performances for the amount of work that we were putting in and trying to build what you see now for what is a real free-flowing team that understands the rhythm of the game and how to change the rhythm of the game with really good speed on the sides, when teams want to come and press you, you can go direct to them {the wingers].
Calmac continued, ““There was a lot of work that was done last season that probably went unnoticed a little bit which we didn’t probably get the rewards for but there has been a real good 12 months of work now.”

Another outlining factor made by McGregor when speaking to The Celtic Star was the positive steps made by the quality that was brought into the building in the summer, including breaking a record fee for Arne Engels.
“Coupled by good recruitment in the summer, the profile of the team looks good and the confidence of the team when you start the season well, they score a few goals then it gathers momentum from there, so probably a combination of all that.”
There is no doubt that the confidence is flowing throughout this Celtic side just now. Whether that be in Scotland competing for domestic trophies or stepping into Champions League football nothing has phased the team as of yet this season.

An added confidence booster with a strong performance and victory in Perth on Saturday evening will set Brendan Rodgers side up fantastically heading into a huge clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
That then will be the huge measure to see how far Celtic have come in a short-period of time.
