Gwalia United is a testament to embracing our future while honouring our storied past. Since 1975 the club has been a pioneer of women’s football, inspiring and uniting people through sport and we will carry these values forward.
“The pace at which women’s football is growing is unprecedented, and to keep up we need the collective support of Wales. We are proud of our Welsh roots, and as the only Welsh club in the English football system we want to represent our Welsh roots as we set our sites on the future. Our engagement with schools across South Wales and the strategic move to Newport Stadium are pivotal steps towards operating from a Tier 1 stadium that supports our growth ambitions. It is important to us to continue providing opportunities for girls and women to compete at the highest levels while positively impacting our communities and fostering engagement beyond the pitch.”
Lee Griffin, founder and CEO at Go.Compare said: “Go.Compare was born in Wales, so to be able to support the ambitions of Gwalia United is something we are really excited about. The club has huge ambitions for its future and we’re hopeful that our sponsorship will go some way to support those ambitions.”
