Up next for FC Barcelona is a grand clash against eternal rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. After dismantling Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, La Blaugrana now turn their attention towards La Liga again. Only this time, Barcelona will be taking on their biggest challenge yet in Spain’s First Division this season.

The top two teams in La Liga are set to clash against one another, and both Hansi Flick and Carlo Ancelotti will want it to be their team that prevails. For Barcelona, their own form and domination in recent games plays in their favor, but Los Blancos remain undefeated in La Liga so far in this campaign.

With only three points separating the two Spanish giants in the league this season, this Clasico remains a highly-anticipated one. Ahead of the game, however, Carlo Ancelotti spoke in his press conference about Barcelona and decided to single out a certain 17-year-old Lamine Yamal when he was asked about him, as highlighted by SPORT:

“The truth is, he has started his career in a spectacular way. I really like his style of play and his attitude.”

The Real Madrid coach even went on to label him as a ‘dangerous’ player, but clarified that his efforts would not be entirely directed towards only one player:

“He’s very dangerous, obviously, but we shouldn’t focus too much on him. You have to consider the opponent’s strengths, but you need to stay more focused on what you need to do and what you want to accomplish, above all.”

As for Hansi Flick’s Barcelona in general, Ancelotti showed his respect for the team and praised the work that they have done so far:

“They’re a team we respect a lot; they’re doing very well, and everyone recognizes it. They’ve started the season strongly.”

For now, both teams continue their preparations as they look to be ready for this upcoming clash of titans at the Bernabeu. Despite some key players being out injured for both teams ahead of the game, it is sure to be a heated contest.
