Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Friday provided updates on the wellbeing of three members of his squad.
Real, of course, are in the midst of final preparations for a return to action on Saturday evening.
Fresh off a comeback downing of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Champions League in midweek, Los Blancos will turn attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Osasuna.
On Friday afternoon, Carlo Ancelotti therefore took his place in front of the media, for his latest pre-match press conference.
And it was the subject of the injury situation in the Spanish champions’ squad which quickly took its place front and centre in things.
After Real were forced to take to the pitch at The Etihad without a host of key defenders, Ancelotti was asked for the latest on all of Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, and Lucas Vázquez.
And the Italian went on to confirm that he expects to have all three back for the 2nd leg of the Man City tie next week:
“Rüdiger and Alaba? They’re getting better. They will be available for the City game. Lucas Vázquez too.”
