During his time in Manchester, Zabaleta won the FA Cup, lifted two Premier League trophies, and secured two League Cup titles, scoring 12 goals and providing 27 assists from his position at right-back.

Man City fans will never forget that he scored the first goal in that dramatic 3-2 win over QPR that secured them the title in 2012.

“I need to appreciate all that I loved in the nine years,” Zabaleta told the club's website when he left for West Ham.

“My heart is in this city, it’s in this club, for sure."

Zabaleta is now honing his skills as a coach, working as the assistant manager for the Albania national team.
