Celtic midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi departs on loan

Celtic have announced the departure of Japanese midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi on a temporary basis.

The 26-year-old has found opportunities at Parkhead hard to come by of late for Ange Postecoglou’s side and hasn’t featured this season in competitive action, appearing fleetingly on the bench.

As a result, he has joined Avispa Fukuoka in his homeland on a loan deal for the duration of the Japanese season.

Ideguchi, who has 15 caps for his country, joined the Hoops a year ago.

But his career was stalled largely by a serious ankle injury he suffered on his full debut against Alloa in the Scottish Cup.
