As per Brehima Diakite from AfricaFoot has identified the Scottish champions as a possible club for the versatile forward, who is capable of playing both centrally and on the wing.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta has been mentioned as a potential suitor for Soumano, along with relegated Leicester City and Leeds United, who will compete in the Premier League next season after securing promotion from the English Championship on Easter Monday. The report also notes that Brentford, managed by Thomas Frank and also in the Premier League, are currently leading the chase for the winger.
Reports suggest that a €3 million bid has been made for the player, who holds both Malian and Ivorian heritage through his parents. Additionally, Mali’s national team coach, Tom Saintfiet, has been keeping an eye on the forward with a potential international call-up in mind, as indicated in the piece.

The 19-year-old winger has featured 27 times for his current team in Ligue 2 this season, netting four goals and providing two assists across all competitions. As of now, Ajaccio sit 11th in the French second division.
Soumano’s current team is based on the island of Corsica, located southeast of mainland France in the Mediterranean. Last season, they finished 15th in Ligue 2, with their most recent stint in Ligue 1, France’s top tier, occurring during the 2022/23 season.
Soumano made 23 appearances for Ajaccio’s first team last campaign, marking his debut in senior football at the club after transferring from Paris’ Red Star. With Celtic competing in a Champions League qualifier at the end of August, the Hoops will need to do their business early in order to give new signings the best possible chance of settling into new environs.
