Celtic face Hibernian on Saturday afternoon as The Scottish Champions return to Paradise. Brendan Rodgers’ side sealed the title with an emphatic win over Dundee United before following it up with a draw at Ibrox, in which Celtic were the better team. David Gray’s side arrive in Glasgow’s East End looking to upstage Celtic in their quest to confirm third place and European football.
Celtic beat the Edinburgh side in the Scottish Cup in March but will be eager to rectify their February loss at Easter Road with three points. There was a dubious VAR decision that day but Brendan will want his side to stamp their authority on the fixture, giving the home support a show.
Celtic will be without Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alistair Johnston and Jota, with the Portuguese attacker out for 6-9 months. Young defender Dane Murray is also out after having a clean up op on his knee. CCV is expected to be out until the St Mirren game while Johnston could be back to be in contention for the away trip to Pittodrie.
Celtic are bolstered by the return of Kasper Schmeichel, who gives the manager a headache given Vil Sinisalo’s form in the Celtic No.1’s absence. It may be too soon for Schmeichel to come back into the team meaning that the Finnish Internationalist may remain between the sticks. Nicolas Kühn trained and is expected to be involved after missing Ibrox with a knock.

With the goalkeeper debate, the manager will also need to decide who comes into the place in the absence of CCV. Austin Trusty will likely come into the team to partner Liam Scales. Tony Ralston and Greg Taylor are expected to continue in the full back berths.
The manager may look to rotate his midfield three with Paulo Bernardo and Luke McCowan vying for minutes. Expect
Adam Idah will likely start through the middle with James Forrest and Daizen Maeda in the wide areas. Forrest, the most decorated Celt, will be looking for a goal to continue his exceptional goal scoring record.
Predicted XI: Sinisalo; Ralston, Trusty, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, Bernardo, McCowan; Maeda, Idah, Forrest.

Colin Steven has been handed the whistle for the game. Steven will be assisted by David Roome and Colin Drummond.
Meanwhile at Clydesdale House, Kevin Clancy is on VAR duties with Gary Hilland assisting.
The game kicks off at 3pm (Celtic Park Time).
The action from Celtic Park will not be televised. However, Celtic TV subscribers outside Britain and Ireland will be able to tune in at 2:30pm for the game to be shown live on the club’s streaming service.
