Celtic are unbeaten in 32 meetings with Motherwell in all competitions (W27 D5) since a 1-2 home defeat in December 2015.

Motherwell last faced Celtic on Boxing Day in 1964, losing 2-0. Overall, the Steelmen have drawn both of their last two away games against the Hoops 1-1.
