The Scottish Premiership season ended last weekend and our attention has turned to the Scottish Cup Final tomorrow…

There are so many crucial dates for Celtic supporters to note over what is going to be a busy and eventful time for the club, it’s worth bookmarking this article which has been compiled by Hareslots.com who are betting that Celtic Star readers won’t miss a thing this summer as far as everything Celtic is concerned.

Saturday 17 May – Let’s not forget last Saturday just yet. Trophy Day at Celtic Park is always extra special – it was Joe Hart’s turn last year and this around it was extra special for James Forrest. As the Champions lifted the trophy and the Celtic players received their medals for winning the Scottish Premiership yet again, it was special for us too!. Remarkably Celtic have now won the title 13 from the last 14 seasons, with the only failure coming during the Covid season when the Celtic support was not there to roar the Bhoys to victory.

Saturday 24 May – It’s Celtic’s third Scottish Cup Final in a row and after beating Inverness Caley Thistle in 2023 and theRangers in 2024, Brendan Rodgers and his squad will be looking to complete the Treble – in more ways than one – be beating Aberdeen at the National stadium. The two sides met in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden earlier in the season with Celtic winning 6-0. The same again would delight the Celtic support.

Tuesday 10 June – The summer transfer window opens and Celtic supporters will be looking for the club to move fast this time around by bringing in the new signings well ahead of the crucial Champions League play-off at the of August. Brendan Rodgers insists that he would like three new signings, assuming none of his top stars are sold. It that happens replacements are needed on top. So sell two, Celtic will look to sign five players.

Friday 20 June – The SPFL release the Premiership fixtures for the new season. Invariably Celtic supporters will look to see the date’s of the three pre-split Glasgow Derby fixtures against theRangers. As Champions Celtic will start the campaign with a home fixture as is always the case in Scottish football.

Tuesday 8 July – Celtic’s first pre-season fixture takes place in the Republic of Ireland with the Scottish Champions travelling down to Cork to take on local side Cork City at the impressive 40,000 capacity SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh stadium. The match kicks-off at 6pm and alongside huge travelling support from Scotland the Celtic support from across Ireland will be in Cork to roar the Bhoys on.

Saturday 19 July – Celtic take on Newcastle United as the League Cup winners north and south of the border battle it out for the adidas Trophy. Yes it’s a pre-season friendly but it’s also Scotland versus England and there’s nothing Celtic supporters like better than getting one over on our neighbours from down the road. Last summer Celtic played and beat both Manchester City and Chelsea in matches played in the United States. This time it’s Eddie Howe’s side coming to Paradise. Should be a decent contest. Tickets available from the official Celtic FC website. It’s a 3pm kick-off at Paradise and there will be sizeable support travelling up for Newcastle.

Weekend 2/3 August – It’s Flag Day at Celtic Park when the Champions raise the title winning flag that is then displayed high above the North Stand for all of Glasgow to see. Celtic will then turn their attention to the first game of the new Scottish Premiership season as they set about defending their title’

Monday 4 August – All Celtic eyes will be on the official UEFA website as the draw is made for the Champions League play-off round. We should know later this week if Celtic will be seeded or not – it’s touch and go at the moment with results from three countries this weekend going to decide Celtic’s status.

19/20 August – The UEFA Champions leg play-off first leg is played.

26/27 August – The second leg is played and Celtic will hopefully be celebrating qualification to the groups stage round which really suited Brendan Rodgers’ side this season.

Thursday 28 August – Assuming Celtic make it through again all eyes will be on that UEFA.com website as the opponents for the Scottish Champions are confirmed.

Monday 1 September – The transfer window closes with no doubt some late drama on Deadline Day as is usually the case with Celtic.
