AC Milan pulled off what might just have been their biggest and best comeback yet under Sergio Conceicao, scoring twice in added time to beat Parma.
Milan trailed 2-1 going into added time after goals from Cancellieri and Del Prato either side of Christian Pulisic’s penalty, and it looked like the Gialloblu would be doing the league double. However, carnage ensued in added time.
Firstly, Tijjani Reijnders buried a brilliant through pass from Yunus Musah to level it in the 92nd minute. Then, less than three minutes later, Samuel Chukwueze bundled a late winner past Suzuki having come off the bench to spark rapturous scenes.
Looking at the newspaper ratings, starting with La Gazzetta dello Sport, they give the overall performance and Sergio Conceicao’s management a 6.5 out of 10. Strahinja Pavlovic was man of the match (7.5) and Theo Hernandez was the flop (4.5).
Reijnders and Chukwueze were praised, getting a 7, while Mike Maignan got half a mark less. Davide Calabria and Matteo Gabbia struggled, getting a 5.5, while Alvaro Morata scored a 5.
Corriere dello Sport were a bit harsher, giving Calabria a 5, Theo a 4.5, Fofana 5.5 and Leao a 5. Pavlovic and Maignan scored highest with a 7, while Chukwueze, Reijnders and Bartesaghi got a 6.5.
Tuttosport also gave Pavlovic the highest praise (7), with Maignan, Bartesaghi, Chukwueze and Reijnders scoring half a point less. Morata (4.5), Leao (5) and Theo (4.5) were the most heavily criticised.
