Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall made the surprise switch from Leicester to Chelsea last summer and he’s opened up on the move.
After starring for the Foxes as they won the Championship title last season under Enzo Maresca, Dewsbury-Hall followed his manager to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues paid £30m for the 26-year-old who scored 12 goals and registered 14 assists last season, although the move hasn’t really gone to plan.
Dewsbury-Hall has had to be patient for opportunities, and it will take him time to adjust from being the main man at Leicester to being a bit part player at Chelsea.
The midfielder has only started one Premier League game this season, and has had a really tough time this season.
The former Leicester man has made nine league appearances totalling just 193 minutes, although he’s fared better in the cup competitions and has scored three goals in the Conference League.

The signing came as a surprise given Dewsbury-Hall was on the verge of joining Brighton and he’s opened up on the switch to Chelsea.
“It’s like going from a small pond to a big ocean,” he told Chelsea’s website.
“I am a player that has a huge amount of self-belief, and I think that is because of my journey and what I have had to face.
“I have had nothing come easy to me. In the academy, some lads get fast-tracked, some lads don’t. I was never that lad.

“I never got extra bonuses. I had to work for every single thing I got and that moulded me into the person I am today. It makes me so determined and motivated to keep improving.”
Joe Cole feels Dewsbury-Hall is a better player than people give him credit for, but the reality is barring an exceptional finish to the season it’s hard to see how he will still be a Chelsea player next season.
