Chelsea have asked about AC Milan midfielder Tijani Reijnders as a possibility for the summer window according to reports.
The Blues weren’t active in the January window much to the disappointment of supporters, but planning has already started ahead of an important summer.
Chelsea need to strengthen in several areas of the squad, with striker, centre back and a left winger said to be the main priorities.
The Blues have already got Strasbourg centre back Mamadou Sarr arriving in the summer, whilst they are said to be leading the race for Liam Delap.
Benjamin Sesko is another name of interest, but Chelsea are said to face competition from Arsenal for the 21-year-old.
Chelsea agreed a €15m deal for Brazilian teenager Denner this week, with the 17-year-old set to join in 2026 when he turns 18.

Enzo Maresca’s men are also believed to be pushing to complete a deal for Gremio teenager Gabriel Mec, but face competition from Barcelona.
However, they are also looking at players to improve the first team and Relevo have reported Chelsea have asked about Reijnders for the summer window.
The report also adds the Dutchman will soon extend his contract with the Italian giants and wants to stay, but if they fail to qualify for the Champions League all offers for their top players will be evaluated.
Reijnders is one Milan’s best players and has 12 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions this season, but quite why Chelsea would need another midfielder is unclear.

The Blues have also been linked with Reijnders’ Milan team-mate Rafael Leao, whilst Joao Felix is currently on loan at the San Siro for the second half of the season.
Whatever happens, this summer is shaping up to be arguably the most important window under the new ownership and they simply have to get it right if Chelsea are going to progress.
