WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this afternoon.
The teenager has come through the youth system at Chelsea and she made her senior debut for the club as a substitute in an Adobe Women’s FA Cup tie against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium last season. Brown has been named on the first team bench on three further occasions but she has been unable to get any more minutes under her belt.
The England Under-19 international needs regular game time to help push her onto the next level and she should now get that in the second tier with Watford.
Brown joins a Watford side that are bottom of the Barclays Women’s Championship table. Damon Lathrope’s side are currently three points adrift of safety with eight games left to play. The Golden Girls have the worst defensive record in the division and the club will be hoping that Brown helps to tighten things up at the back.
The player could make her Watford debut in Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Championship fixture against Birmingham City.
