Both clubs have been charged with failing to control their players after ugly Stamford Bridge brawl

Nicolas Jackson has escaped punishment for his part in a brawl between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, for which both clubs have now been charged by the Football Association (FA).

Footage of the brawl appeared to then show Jackson raising his arm in the direction of Forest defender Morato, but the incident was reviewed by VAR officials at the time and Standard Sport understands Jackson faces no retrospective FA action.

Chelsea and Forest have both been charged, though, for failing to control their players.

A statement from an FA spokesperson on Tuesday read: “Chelsea and Nottingham Forest have been charged after the mass confrontation at their Premier League fixture on Sunday, 6 October.

“It’s alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the 88th minute.”

Chelsea's Cucurella and Wesley Fofana became the first players of the new Premier League season to pick up suspensions for collecting their respective fifth yellow cards of the season in the draw against Forest.

The Blues collected six yellow cards in the game, an offence which usually leads to a £25,000 FA fine. However, Chelsea's first offence of this nature came in last month's 1-0 win at Bournemouth, meaning they must now pay the FA a £50,000 fine for their ill discipline on Sunday.
