One Chelsea player who really was hitting some fine form before getting injured has been given a return date now by one outlet.
The Blues have not been doing well on the pitch since Christmas, but they did manage to beat Southampton in their last Premier League game.
The Blues won the game 4-0 in what was a much needed convincing performance, with goals coming from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella.
The Saints were a very poor opposition of course, but Chelsea really needed a big win and a big performance, and that is exactly what they did last night right in the nick of time as they look to keep challenging for that all important Champions League spot.
Neto was superb playing as the number 9 and as well as getting his goal, he has explained why he loves playing as a striker with a hilarious answer!
Chelsea made a number of decisions in the January window, and one of them was deciding to loan out versatile player Renato Veiga to Juventus.
The defender who can also play in midfield, was playing very well for Juventus at centre back before he got injured a couple of weeks back. But he will soon be back in action.
According to IlBianconero, the medical staff will be assessing the player’s condition in the coming weeks, but he’s more likely to return following the international break.
So, in addition to Monday’s game against Hellas Verona, Veiga will also miss the next two Serie A fixtures against Atalanta at home and Fiorentina away.
The defender could potentially return to the squad on March 29th when Juventus welcome Genoa at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
