Chelsea are getting an offer ready to sign a new centre back this summer with the injuries of Wesley Fofana in their minds.

This news comes off the back of Chelsea beating Legia Warsaw 3-0 away from home in the first leg of the Conference League quarter finals on Thursday night in Poland to pretty much set them up for a place in the semi finals of the competition.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea ARE looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer and have world class name on the table!! 👀

Chelsea were awful in the first half but superb in the second half after what you feel would have been some harsh words from boss Enzo Maresca. The Italian went on to admit to ‘falling in love’ with one of his players after the game due to his incredible performance.

And it was an incredible night to remember for another academy gem as well with Tyrique George grabbing his first ever senior goal for his boyhood club. What a moment.

The Blues are now in Premier League action later today against Ipswich Town as they look to keep in the Champions League places and fight for that.

And then attentions will turn to the summer transfer window at the end of the season, and Chelsea want a new centre back.

Chelsea in for Guehi

According to The Daily Mirror today, Chelsea are ready to do a £50million cash-plus-player deal to recapture Marc Guehi this summer. Crystal Palace want £70m for the England defender, and would be willing to accept Trevor Chalobah as part of the deal.

Chelsea value Chalobah at £30m, so a cash-plus-player swap would suit Palace, who are resigned to losing Guehi.

They also mention the sustained injuries to Wesley Fofana as being part of the thinking behind Chelsea’s plans to bring in a new starting centre back.
