With Chivas on a break following their premature exit from the Guard1anes 2021 play-offs, there is little news emanating from the Flock of late.
However, that has not stopped fans feverishly speculating on who director of football Ricardo Peláez will recruit to bolster Víctor Manuel Vucetich’s squad for the 2021 Apertura.
Some supporters, based on their social media posts anyway, are convinced that Érick Aguirre is on his way to the Estadio Akron from Pachuca.
Chivas have been heavily linked with the left-back who played the full 90 minutes when Los Tuzos knocked Chivas out on a 4-2 scoreline a fortnight ago.
With Miguel Ponce now at the ripe age of 32, Los Rojiblancos are likely to want to bring in a younger option for that position.
But is this just silly season speculation, or is the 23-year-old Mexico international genuinely poised for a move to Guadalajara?
We’ll just have to wait and see!
