Manchester City are set to take on Arsenal in the Subway League Cup semi-finals.

The last four ties are set to be played on 5/6 February, with City confirmed as the away side in the fixture in December's draw.

We secured passage to the semis with a 2-1 win over Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village.

Goals from Laura Coombs and Lily Murphy were enough to regain local bragging rights, cancelling out Millie Turner's equaliser.

Arsenal, meanwhile, reached the last four with a 4-0 win over Brighton.

The most recent meeting between the sides ended in an exciting 2-2 draw on the opening day of the Barclays Women's Super League season.

City looked set to claim all three points thanks to a Vivianne Miedema strike and stunning Jess Park effort, but had to settle for a share of the spoils after Beth Mead's late leveller.

Arsenal currently sit second in the WSL table, two points and two places above the Blues, with the two sides locking horns at the Joie Stadium the weekend before our League Cup encounter.

That game is sold out, but keep across mancity.com and the official Man City app for confirmed League Cup fixture dates and ticket news.
