MIAMI – The 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals begins with Club América and NJ/NY Gotham FC meeting in the Semifinals at the Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Two-time Liga MX Femenil winners Club América secured first place in Group B with a 3W-0D-1L record. Las Águilas featured a high-powered offense with the likes of Captain Kiana Palacios, FIFA Women’s World Cup winner Irene Guerrero and Sarah Luebbert. América Femenil also featured a tournament-low three goals conceded with Sandra Paños under the three posts.

América is coming off runners-up finish in the Clausura 2025 season, falling 3-2 on aggregate in the playoffs Final to CF Pachuca. Led by Spanish manager Ángel Villacampa, América Femenil finished the regular season in first place with a 13W-2D-2L record.

NJ/NY Gotham FC is seeking another trophy for its cabinet after winning the 2023 NWSL Championship. The U.S. club advanced as the second place from Group A with 2W-2D-0L record. World Champions Rose Lavelle, Emily Sonnet and Esther Gonzalez highlight the roster for the team from Tri-state area.

Gotham FC also features a Spanish manager in Juan Carlos Amoros. The Bats are currently eight in the NWSL standings after a 3W-3D-4L start.
