The game tonight against Bologna will say a lot about AC Milan’s top four fate, but could also provide a further insight into the club’s future.
Calciomercato.com recall that relations between Bologna and Milan have not been great this season. Back on October 26 the Emilian city was hit by a violent rain causing the game to be called off due to a flood risk, and the situation made the Rossoneri hierarchy furious.
Despite this, it is all in the past and the relationship between the two clubs is now described as ‘excellent’, as demonstrated by the Davide Calabria deal concluded in the winter transfer window. He is expected to start tonight and face Rafael Leao, an added layer of intrigue.
Geoffrey Moncada will be there as always and he has a couple of Bologna stars in his sights. The first is John Lucumi, a Colombian defensive giant who has been on Milan’s radar for months. He is very admired for his size but also his technical ability.
Moncada will observe him live, again, to verify if he has made improvements in terms of attention during games. The 26-year-old has shown a gap in this aspect that has slowed his leap to a big club, but the interest remains concrete and is real.
Benjamin Dominguez is the other name that intrigues, given his development under Vincenzo Italiano. The 21-year-old winger has scored four goals and added two assists across 15 appearances this season, and Milan are watching him with ‘great interest’.
