Alvaro Morata signed as an AC Milan player in July, and it seems his departure is imminent at this point. Just 200 days after signing, he is already in his last days.

When arriving in the summer, there were a lot of questions about the decision. Joshua Zirkzee was the initial target, so for Morata to then arrive was a massive turn in the tale. Nevertheless, there were some ideas that he could have a nice impact on the side.

It has not gone like that though.

Instead, the journey is already heading to a close, given the Spaniard has not hit the ground running. He has scored just six times for the Rossoneri, and there are talks of a new striker, or two, arriving this month which would see his playing time diminished heavily if not completely.

This comes with the addition of reported issues between himself and the new head coach, Sergio Conceicao.

Despite the move though, and the issues with the coach, he has still been present at Milanello this morning and trained as normal, according to Calciomercato.com. The departure operation is in its final stages, but the Spaniard still reported as normal, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada watched on.

Morata’s inclusion in the derby could be considered impossible, but right now it is not at that stage, instead, very unlikely. The final days of the Morata x Milan story that never really worked are playing out unless there are some shock changes.
