Christian Pulisic has potentially been AC Milan’s most consistent performer since he arrived at the club, and the management wish to reward him.
As Calciomercato.com report, Pulisic has always made the difference since joining from Chelsea in summer 2023, on and off the pitch. He is an exemplary professional, one of those who always give 100% in every game, and the many goals and assists are only a direct consequence of this.
Pulisic doesn’t particularly like the nickname ‘Captain America’ because he believes that playing football is the most natural thing there is, even if Zlatan Ibrahimovic is pushing it. His acquisition for €22m remains without a doubt the best deal that Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada have done.
In the last month and a half, the Rossoneri directors have worked hard to negotiate with all the players who deserved a contract renewal with better conditions than their current ones. Matteo Gabbia’s has already been announced, with Tijjani Reijnders and Mike Maignan to follow.
The next one will be Pulisic. Milan already had an option to extend until 2028, but Furlani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have decided to enter negotiations with him and his agent, raising his salary from €4m per year to €5m.
For his part, Pulisic is ‘completely immersed’ in his Rossoneri adventure and has one obsession in his head: to lift titles at San Siro. There has been some talk that Liverpool were interested in bringing him back for England, but with a renewal that hypothesis remains far away.
