Serie A side Como are probing Real Madrid assistant coach Davide Ancelotti as a potential Cesc Fabregas replacement.

According to an update on X by Gianluca Di Marzio, Como are preparing for life without head coach Cesc Fabregas and have identified Carlo Ancelotti’s son and assistant coach of Real Madrid, Davide Ancelotti as a managerial candidate.

Carlo Ancelotti’s time at Real Madrid is expected to end after this season and the Spanish giants are set to bring in Xabi Alonso, who announced his departure from Bayer Leverkusen some days ago.

Leverkusen have registered their interest in Fabregas and convincing him to join their club is not predicted to be a problem. Die Werkself’s move will compel Como to search for a new coach as they aim to keep their upward trajectory and results intact next season, too.

Davide Ancelotti does not have any experience in the head coach role for any club but he carries extensive knowledge in the coaching sphere, thanks to his assistant coach stints at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and currently with Real Madrid. The 25-year-old is known for his dynamic presence from the sidelines and has adequately replaced Carlo Ancelotti on the touchline whenever he has been ill or served a ban.
