There is much confusion surrounding the fitness and availability of Crysencio Summerville.

The West Ham winger has been absent for over 2 months, having suffered a hamstring injury during Graham Potter‘s first game in charge, away to Aston Villa in the FA Cup on 10th January.

It had been hoped that Summerville would be available for selection this weekend when we face Everton at Goodison Park – however a recent update suggests that is now highly unlikely.

Reporting on The West Ham Way, insider ExWHUEmployee has received a concerning update from a senior source within the club, when they were asked on an update surrounding Summerville’s availability.

“I have received a message from the club which paints a rather confusing picture surrounding Summerville and when he is likely to return,” stated Ex.

“The source has responded and said the following: ‘SADLY, he’s refused an operation so we haven’t an idea.'”

It remains to be seen what the status is with his injury, but the update no doubt causes much concern and confusion, with many excited to see Summerville operate under Potter.
