Miami, FL  – Concacaf has announced that Alajuela, Costa Rica, will host the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship. The World Cup qualifying competition will take place from May 29 to June 8 and feature the region’s eight best women’s under-20 national teams.

The 2025 Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship will kick off with an eight-team group stage (two groups of four teams each). After round-robin play, between May 29 – June 3, the group winners and runners-up (four teams in total) will advance to the semifinals and qualify for next year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Championship’s semifinals will be played on June 6, followed by the Final on June 8, where a champion will be crowned. All matches will take place at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

The official draw, where the eight teams will be split into two groups, will take place at 11:00 am ET, on March 26. Fans can follow the event on Concacaf’s YouTube Channel.

The road to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup began with the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Qualifiers. The six group winners (Guyana, Puerto Rico, Panama, Nicaragua, Canada, and Costa Rica) advanced to the competition’s Championship Stage, joining the two top-ranked Member Associations—the United States and Mexico.   For more information on the Qualifiers, click here.

In the previous edition of the Concacaf U-20 Women’s Championship, played in the Dominican Republic in 2023, Mexico defeated the United States 2-1 in the Final, earning their second title at this age level.
