The Eagles confirmed the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 19-year-old England youth international joined parent club Manchester City from Barclays Women’s Championship side Durham a year ago. The forward is still awaiting her debut for The Cityzens but she was involved in several matchday squads in the second half of last season.
With Pritchard in need of regular football, the player was sent to Crystal Palace on loan for the 2024/2025 season. The youngster has gone on to make six appearances for The Eagles in all competitions, although minutes have been in short supply given the competition for places at the South London club. Ahead of Crystal Palace’s return to action after the Christmas break, it has been revealed that Pritchard has returned to parent club Manchester City ahead of schedule.
The next step in Pritchard’s development is not yet known, however, it would be no surprise to see the player go out on a fresh loan arrangement in the coming weeks. She arguably needs to be playing week in, week out to push for a place in Manchester City’s matchday squad.
Manchester City are next in action when they contest a Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Manchester United at The Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.
