The Eagles announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this morning.
The 19-year-old centre-back joined parent club Chelsea from Bristol City last summer. Aspin returned to Bristol City on loan last season to further her development. She made 17 appearances for The Robins in the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2023/2024. Aspin was a Barclays Women’s Championship winner with Bristol City in her initial spell at Ashton Gate.
Aspin is not yet in a position to compete for first team honours at Chelsea and the club have determined that another loan move is the best course of action for the player this season.
After joining Crystal Palace, Aspin said “It’s amazing. I’ve come here to hopefully show Crystal Palace what I’m about, and I’ve loved every minute so far. The ambition for the club looks amazing and it’s impressive how they’ve got into the WSL, so I can’t wait.”
Aspin becomes Crystal Palace’s 11th signing of the summer transfer window. The defender joins Chelsea teammates Jorja Fox and Lexi Potter in signing for The Eagles on loan for the 2024/2025 season.
