The Eagles announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 22-year-old moves to Crystal Palace off the back of a one-year spell with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. Riley scored seven goals in 19 games for PSV in last season’s Azerion Vrouwen Eredivisie while she also briefly represented the club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Prior to her time with PSV, Riley enjoyed two spells with Brisbane Roar, either side of a two-and-a-half-year stint with Fortuna Hjørring. She won the Danish Women’s Cup with Fortuna Hjørring in 2021/2022.
On the international stage, Riley has been capped by New Zealand on 24 occasions in which she has scored six goals.
After joining Crystal Palace, Riley said “I’m super-excited. I can’t wait to meet everyone, and I’m just in awe of these facilities. They’re amazing and I can’t wait to use them!
“It’s always been a dream of mine to play in the WSL and to do it here with Crystal Palace, I’m so excited.
“It’ll really help me take that next step in my career and keep on improving, because I’m still quite young, and there’s still a lot of improving to go.”
Riley is Crystal Palace’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
