The La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Osasuna, originally set for 8 March, has been rescheduled for Thursday, 27 March, it has been confirmed by La Liga, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
The fixture was postponed following the sudden passing of Barcelona’s first-team doctor, Carles Minarro, hours before kickoff at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
La Liga has confirmed the new date, although the exact kick-off time is yet to be determined.
Other potential dates, including the week of 19 May, were considered, but the final decision sees Barcelona playing the match after the international break and before their crucial home fixture against Girona on Sunday, 30 March, at 16:15 (CET).
Barça were initially reluctant to play the match right after the current international break due to the potential non-availability of two of their key players, Ronald Araujo and Raphinha, who will be travelling from South America and might not be ready to play.

The match will take place at Montjuic, where Hansi Flick’s team will look to secure vital points in the league campaign.
Following their comeback win over Atletico Madrid on Sunday night, Barcelona go into the break as league leaders, level on points with second-placed Real Madrid but with a game in hand.
Should they get a victory over Osasuna, they will have a three-point lead over Carlo Ancelotti’s men, giving the Catalans an advantage in the title race.
It must, however, be remembered that Barcelona were defeated by Osasuna in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
