Bournemouth are keen on signing Kepa Arrizabalaga on a permanent deal at the end of the season according to Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea made Kepa the most expensive goalkeeper in the world back in 2018 when they paid Athletic Bilbao £71.4m for his services.
Kepa made a good start at Chelsea, but despite winning some major trophies he didn’t really live up to expectations.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Real Madrid where he made 20 appearances and won La Liga and the Champions League.
A permanent move failed to materialise and Kepa signed a one year contract extension and joined the Cherries on a season long loan.
The Spaniard has impressed for Andoni Iraola’s side and has made 25 appearances in all competitions, with Bournemouth sitting tenth and right in the mix for European qualification.

There’s said to be a £5m buy option in the deal and Romano has provided an update on Bournemouth’s stance on Kepa, with other clubs also said to be interested.
He took to X.com and said:
“Bournemouth are keen on signing Kepa on permanent deal after his excellent season on loan from Chelsea.
“Deal will depend on final costs but Bournemouth are happy with his impact, and Chelsea will surely sell Kepa as he’s one of the players on the outgoings list.”
It sounds promising and regardless of the transfer fee Chelsea will be grateful to finally get Kepa’s wages off their books.
