AC Milan have set their sights on Borussia Dortmund’s Almugera Kabar for the left-back position, according to a report. Indeed, they are expected to make an attempt this month to sign the youngster.
As Theo Hernandez has struggled on the left this season, lacking the consistency needed, Milan have been linked with various left-back deputies in recent months. While Alex Jimenez has done well in the role in the meantime, his preferred position is on the right.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have a strong interest in Dortmund’s Almugera Kabar, who is just 18 years old. He has made three appearances off the bench for the German side this season and the Rossoneri believe he would be ready to act as a deputy for Hernandez.
There will be an attempt to sign him this month, as the report continues, but it might be an operation for the summer when the conditions will be more favourable. Considering that Jimenez has done okay in the role, the Rossoneri management might want to prioritise other positions in this window.
It’s believed that the mercato will get going for Milan after the Supercoppa Italiana, with the final against Inter scheduled for Monday evening.
