Cacique Diriangén FC vs. CS Herediano

Cacique Diriangén FC meets Club Sport Herediano at the Cacique Diriangén Stadium in Diriamba, Nicaragua.

The Nicaragua side started its campaign with a 2-1 victory over FC Motagua on the opening matchday. Justing Cano opened the scoring ten minutes in and Luis Copete added the winner right before the end of the second half.

CS Herediano also started with three points after collecting a 1-nil home win over Tauro FC. John Jairo Ruíz scored the lone goal of the match as the Costa Rican side now looks to replicate their success on the road.

The two clubs meet for the second time in the Central American Cup. The two met in the inaugural edition, on August 3, 2023, where they drew 1-1 with goals from Luis Copete for Cacique and Fernán Faerron for CS Herediano.

LA Firpo vs. LD Alajuelense

CD Luis Ángel Firpo faces Liga Deportiva Alajuelense at the Jorge "El Mágico" González National Stadium in San Salvador, El Salvador. The two clubs will face each other for the first time in the Central American Cup.

The Salvadoran outfit will play its second home match after starting its campaign with a 1-1 draw against Comunicaciones FC. Gustavo Souza scored in the second half to rescue a point for LA Firpo.

LD Alajuelense, the 2023 champions, started its title defense with a 3-1 home victory over CD Marathón. Anderson Cardoso scored to negate an early lead from the Honduran side before Diego Campos’ brace would power the Costa Rican side to its first three points.

The two clubs have previously met four times in the Concacaf Champions Cup. Luis Ángel Firpo leads that series with two wins and one draw, last meeting in the 1998 edition.

Comunicaciones FC vs. Alianza FC

Comunicaciones FC meets Alianza Fútbol Club at the Cementos Progreso Stadium in Guatemala City, Guatemala. This will meet for the first time at the Central American Cup and a tenth time all-time.

The Guatemalan side began its campaign with a 1-1 draw in El Salvador last week, coming against Luis Angel Firpo. Carlos Mejía struck the opening goal in the first half that ultimately translated to a valuable away point.

Alianza will begin its 2024 campaign away from home in what will mark its Central American Cup debut. The Salvadoran side won the 1967 Concacaf Champions Cup and qualified for the current tournament by winning a record 18th league title.
