Dortmund not sweating over futures of Roman Bürki and Thomas Delaney | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund are keeping their options open when it comes to Roman Bürki and Thomas Delaney.

Both players were expected to leave this summer, but neither is close to securing a move yet.

Goalkeeper Bürki has slipped down the pecking order since the arrival of Gregor Kobel from Stuttgart, and BVB are happy for the 30-year-old to continue his career elsewhere.

Monaco and Atlético Madrid have been linked with the former Switzerland international.

However sporting director Michael Zorc insists there have been no formal expressions of interest.

“We haven’t heard anything,” Zorc told Ruhr Nachrichten.

Denmark international Delaney is on Sevilla’s wishlist, but the Spanish side appear unwilling to meet Dortmund’s €10m valuation of the midfielder.

Dortmund remain calm about the lack of activity around both players, with head of the licensed players’ department Sebastian Kehl insisting the club “are prepared for all scenarios”.

Bürki has been with Die Schwarzgelben since joining from Freiburg in 2015, while former Werder Bremen man Delaney has been at Signal Iduna Park since June 2018.
