During the press conference, organizers revealed the shortlists for the awards, which include several senior Inter players.

Simone Inzaghi inspired the Nerazzurri to their 20th Scudetto last term.

It was, by all means, a remarkable campaign.

Indeed, Inter left runners-up AC Milan 19 points behind in one of the most dominant Serie A title runs in recent memory.

Except for a pair of unexpected losses to the relegated Sassuolo, they avoided defeat in the remaining 36 league outings.

Considering Inter topped every chart in the 2023/24 Serie A season, it’s unsurprising they have eight players nominated for awards.

Yann Sommer is in contention for the best goalkeeper after only conceding 22 goals during Inter’s triumphant season.

However, he’s not the only Nerazzurri star who deserves the credit for such a formidable defensive record.

Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, and Denzel Dumfries also played pivotal roles in fortifying Inter’s backline.

Moving higher up the field, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu are among the most highly-rated Serie A midfielders.

Indeed, Inter’s dynamic duo is up there with the likes of Teun Koopmeiners and Paulo Dybala, amongst others.

Finally, Capocannoniere winner Lautaro Martinez headlines the list of standout forwards alongside Marcus Thuram.

Inzaghi’s trusted goal-getters were nothing short of phenomenal last term, especially the former.

With 24 goals, Martinez won the Golden Boot, outscoring second-placed Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus by eight.

Last but not least, Francesco Pio Esposito is among the nominees for the Serie B young talent of the year.

The 19-year-old has excelled during his long-term loan spell at Spezia.
