Eintracht Frankfurt

Frankfurt arrive in third place with 52 points, just four ahead of fifth-placed Freiburg, whom they will face on the final day of the season. However, their 0-0 draw against Augsburg last weekend marked their second straight game without scoring, and the Eagles have failed to find the net in three of their last five matches.

Dino Toppmöller's men have only one win in their last five games across all competitions, but have still collected three victories from their last five Bundesliga outings, losing only once. Their recent home form has been solid as well, with three wins from their last four at Deutsche Bank Park, the only blemish being a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League.

Team News

Mario Götze remains sidelined with a hip injury and may not return until mid-May, while striker Igor Matanovic is currently out due to illness.

With those absences, Hugo Ekitike is expected to lead the line again, supported by Ansgar Knauff, Nathaniel Brown, and Jean-Matteo Bahoya. Ellyes Skhiri and Hugo Larsson should anchor the midfield as a double pivot, while the returning Kevin Trapp is set to reclaim his spot in goal behind a centre-back pairing of Tuta and Robin Koch.

RB Leipzig

Leipzig, currently occupying the final Champions League qualification spot, dropped points against bottom-club Holstein Kiel in a frustrating 1-1 draw last Friday. Despite rescuing a point via a late Benjamin Sesko penalty, Leipzig’s attacking threat from open play was limited, as they only generated two clear chances.

Zsolt Löw's side have collected seven points from their last three Bundesliga matches and showed attacking promise in recent wins over Wolfsburg and another prior opponent, netting six goals across those two games. They also boast a strong record against Frankfurt this season, winning 3-0 in the DFB-Pokal and 2-1 in the league back in December.

Despite a 3-2 win over Wolfsburg in their last away match, Leipzig's road form has generally been poor, they were winless in nine consecutive away games before that, with five losses and five matches without scoring.

Team News

The visitors are grappling with several injuries. Defenders Benjamin Henrichs, David Raum, and Willi Orban are all unavailable, as is first-choice goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi.

In their absence, Maarten Vandevoordt is expected to start between the sticks, with a back four likely featuring Kosta Nedeljkovic, Lukas Klostermann, El Chadaille Bitshiabu, and Castello Lukeba.

Midfield regular Xaver Schlager is also ruled out, so Nicolas Seiwald and Arthur Vermeeren are likely to start in central midfield.
