Brentford striker Ivan Toney has officially completed a move to Al-Ahli in Saudia Arabia in a deal thought to be worth £40m.
The 28-year-old had resurrected his career following his lengthy gambling ban, and drew plaudits for his performances as a substitute for England in EURO 2024.
Toney is reportedly set to earn £330,000 per week at his new club, but this next step does raise questions over his international future.
It’s also been suggested that Newcastle will receive 30% of his transfer fee, while former side Peterborough United are set to net around £4m.
The striker began his career in the Northampton Town youth sector, and completed his move to current club Brentford back in 2020, where he has since netted 71 goals in 141 appearances.
