Claudio Ranieri is expected to keep a relatively settled starting line-up when Roma face AZ Alkmaar away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening, but the Giallorossi tactician could make one tweak to his attacking set-up according to the pre-match reports.
Roma recorded a 3-1 victory at home against Genoa in Serie A, and the same back three that lined up in that game – Gianluca Mancini, Mats Hummels and Evan Ndicka – are expected to go again.
Ranieri could also stick with the same wing-backs in Alexis Saelemaekers and Angelino.
There are suggestions that Stephan El Sharaawy could come back into the starting line-up in place of captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, forming a three-man attack with Artem Dovbyk as the centre-forward.
