WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blue Girls this morning.
The 20-year-old French international forward joined Chelsea from Paris FC last summer but she was loaned straight back to her former club to continue her development. Injury restricted Ribadeira to making just two appearances for Paris FC but she did manage to score a goal in one of those games.
Ribadeira returned to Chelsea earlier this month and head coach Sonia Bompastor expressed her desire for the player to join a Barclays Women’s Super League club on loan in the second half of the season. It has now been revealed that the youngster will get her first taste of the English game at Everton.
After joining Everton on loan, Ribadeira said “I’m very happy to be here because Everton is one of the best clubs in the WSL, so I’m very happy and I’m looking forward to starting.
“It’s good to get experience in this league because I know this league is tough; it’s aggressive, it’s physical, so I think it’s a good step to progress and to adapt.
“Brian [Sørensen] is a good, good coach, so I’m happy to work with him. I’m excited to start.”
Ribadeira is Everton’s fifth signing of the January transfer window.
