Everton will reignite their interest in Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah (21) and submit a bid to their Ligue 1 counterparts, according to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins. The 21-year-old is mostly playing a peripheral role in Pierre Sage’s Les Gones. Nuamah only featured 16 times so far in all competitions this season and registered only two goal contributions, both of them in the Europa League. Nuamah remains of interest for a handful of Premier League clubs.
Last summer, Nuamah agreed terms with Everton, but he remained in France. He also reportedly fled a medical with Premier League rivals Fulham to force a return to Lyon. Hawkins adds that the Toffees would like to sign the Ghana international and that they are due to submit a bid shortly, mentioning a high probability of seeing Nuamah join the Liverpool-based outfit should both Lyon and Everton agree on a transfer fee. Nuamah is tied with Lyon over a contract set to expire in 2028.
