Former Inter Milan defender Daniele Adani feels that the Nerazzurri “start all matches 1-0 up” at their best.
The former defender spoke to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, via FCInterNews.
Inter got themselves back into form in Serie A over the weekend.
The Nerazzurri beat Udinese 3-2 away.
This was certainly the ideal way for Inter to bounce back from the disappointment of losing to city rivals AC Milan in the derby the previous weekend.
It was far from a perfect performance from Inter. Particularly defensively, where they paid for a couple of careless errors.
But on the other side of things, Inter looked like a well-oiled machine in attack.
In terms of individual quality and collective organization, Inter were able to hurt Udinese throughout the match.
The Nerazzurri scored three goals in the match. And in truth they probably could have scored more, looking at the chances that they created over the course of proceedings.
Inter will have to keep that standard of performance up if they are to successfully defend their Serie A title from last season.
In attack, the Nerazzurri cannot take their foot off the gas.
And then defensively, fewer errors will certainly be necessary.
But former Inter defender Adani is confident about his old side’s capabilities.
“I think Inter’s chances depend on themselves,” he argued.
“When Inter are in form and so are all the other teams, Inter always win,” he continued. “They have the deepest squad.”
“If Bisseck doesn’t fall asleep on the marking, then Inter don’t get caught out,” he said of the first goal Inter conceded against Udinese.
“It all depends on them. If they are focused and switched on, then they start 1-0 up against everyone.”
“If you build a team that plays like this and add the players they added this summer, the burden is on them to win,” Adani argued.
