Daniele Adani has reiterated the possibility of Como starlet Nico Paz joining Inter Milan in the foreseeable future.
In an interview with Viva El Futbol via FCInterNews, Adani delivered his verdict on the ex-Real Madrid youngster’s potential.
Paz has gone from strength to strength since leaving his boyhood club for the Serie A newcomers in the summer.
Under Cesc Fabregas’ stewardship, the 20-year-old has become one of Europe’s most sought-after talents.
Indeed, the versatile forward has made 16 league appearances for Como this season, collecting two goals and four assists.
His rise to stardom hasn’t gone unnoticed.
In addition to earning broad plaudits across the continent, he made a senior debut for Argentina in October.
Remarkably, it took him only 17 minutes against Bolivia to register an assist.
Meanwhile, Inter continue to monitor his progress with great attention.
Inter will part ways with Joaquin Correa in the summer.
The Argentine’s contract at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza runs out at the end of the season.
Since the Italians are reluctant to renew his expiring deal, there will be room for an attacking reinforcement.
And Adani believes Paz could fill the vacancy.
“The idea for Inter could be this: Correa leaves and Nico Paz comes in, who could fit into the rotations,” he said.
“He’s a player for Inter. Of course, the boy needs to grow, but he could become a starter as a forward who links up the play.”
However, Inter aren’t the only team vying for the youngster’s signature.
Paz has emerged as a wanted property, with numerous Italian and foreign sides following his development.
But the Nerazzurri could rely on Lautaro Martinez and Tomas Palacios to convince their countryman to choose Meazza.
Meanwhile, Como chiefs must be rubbing their hands.
