Chelsea have added a 22-year-old striker who has already banged in 47 goals in his career so far to their transfer shortlist this summer.
The news comes after Chelsea played out a boring 0-0 draw against Brentford in the Premier League yesterday afternoon in what was another underwhelming performance.
Enzo Maresca frustrated Chelsea fans once again with a heavily rotated starting lineup in such an important game in the race for Champions League qualification, and then he annoyed them even more with some of the excuses he came out with after the game, even blaming the weather!
The Blues boss was also frustrated though, pointing out the fact that his attackers are currently not doing enough and has called for more goals from them all.
Maresca and his players must keep going now and onto the next game later this week in the Conference League as they look to try and win some silverware this season.
Attentions will then turn to the summer transfer market and Chelsea will be looking at a number of positions to strengthen yet again.
Chelsea want a new striker, and they have added another new name to the shortlist for the summer window, according to our own writer Simon Phillips on his Substack site.

According to Phillips’ information, Chelsea are scouting Hugo Ekitike of Frankfurt this season.
The France U21 international stands at 6ft 3in tall and has a growing list of clubs admiring him this season, and Chelsea are one of those. However, Phillips also explains that he has heard there are some concerns over whether he is suited to the Premier League or not.
One to watch perhaps but seemingly nothing advanced there and just some interest and some scouting, but he’s on the list.
